You know it’s true, I’ll always love you.
Any time, any place, anything you do…
You’re my Son, nothing will change that.
I’m your Dad, that’s the fact.
It’s not always been easy for both you and me,
We’ve traveled the same path don’t you see?
I’ve tried my best from what I knew,
Didn’t learn much from when up I grew.
I do know this, time passes by,
It heals all wounds and makes you cry.
This thing called life; it’s a fleeting thing,
School, work, the wedding ring.
Nothing’s forever, enjoy today.
Live every second, love every day.
You’ll get there in time, and then you’ll see
Sometimes things are just meant to be.
Forgive and forget but learn from the past,
Take life slowly, live life fast.
Love those around you, the world is so vast.
This thing called life, it just doesn’t last.
